The Linux Tutorial: Although there are quite a number of Linux oriented sites on the web, this one boasts a unique tutorial section specifically designed to help the newbie or experienced user learn the nuts and bolts of Linux. The forums are informative as are the news page and reviews section. A great place to learn Linux.

CertForums.co.uk: This is a site focused on helping support students who are earning IT certifications. Based in the UK, it has a multi-national membership and a very lively discussion forum. This site is especially newbie friendly. Surf on in, pour yourself a cuppa, and see what's going on.

Tech-Unity: Update! This site has suffered from a significant activity falloff. The site owner and primary admin has started a private business and while it seems quite successful for him, it has consumed a great deal of his time and the site has suffered because of it. For awhile, it was being hammered by spammers and the owner's solution was to not allow any new members to join. I think that's been reversed, but there are hardly any members who visit anymore and even fewer who post. Newsbots have been enabled, so there are automated IT news items being fed into the various forums. I hope the site owner (who says the site isn't dead) will be back as time allows to bring the old place back.

Python-Forum: This site is for Python programmers from the raw beginner to the experienced user. I joined in November 2007 but only started posting on the forum as of March 2008.

MCSE World was recently taken over by a friend of mine in Australia who has graciously allowed me to post some of my Microsoft book reviews on the site. If you have an interest in all things Windows, you'll find something there to learn from.
