CompTIA Network+ 2005 Video Training Course

I created a series of video tutorials for Keystone Learning Systems using Camtasia Studio 2 to take film clips of my work on the computer screen, demonstrating the different aspects of networking to students. The course is diligently mapped to the actual CompTIA Network+ objectives so that the lessons cover every detail regarding what topics and specifics a student may encounter on the actual exam. See the details and purchase the CompTIA Network+ 2005 Video Training Course from Keystone.

Advanced Network Administration Best Practices for IT

The HP Learning Center site says that Dan Mabbutt is teaching the course, but I wrote 100% of it. This six-lesson eLearning class teaches people looking to be advanced network admins about designing a network infrastructure, establishing security, operating as an organizational manager, controlling email, network monitoring, and disaster recovery. The class includes assignments and quizzes for each lesson. I've written half a dozen classes for hardware vendors such as HP, eMachines, and Gateway. Click the following link and give it a whirl. It's free. You can find this class at the HP Learning Center.

Master Visually Windows Server 2003

Master Visually Windows Server 2003 was published in February 2005 by Wiley. It was my first book as the sole author and I learned a great deal about writing and publishing from the experience. To quote from Processor.com's April 2005 review of the book: Author James Pyles' hands-on experience is evident throughout the book. Concise instructions and images walk the reader through common tasks such as configuring a secure server, creating applications, setting up site links and bridges, managing devices and drivers, and building Internet connections. Find and buy this book at Amazon. Read the entire review of this book at Processor.com.
