How to Open SharePoint Central Administration
The vast majority of administrative tasks on the SharePoint 2007 stand-alone server or server farm will be done in the Central Administration Web Application. You configured CA as part of the initial installation process. Once SharePoint has been in stalled on a server, here's how to open Central Administration.
- Click Start and then click All Programs.
- Click Microsoft Office Server and then click SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration.
- If prompted, type the administrator username and password in the available dialog box and press Enter.
You can also get to Central Administration by clicking All Programs and then Administrative Tools.
